Mitch McConnell: 'Our Goal Is To Fund the Government!' - cnsnews.com

Excerpt from this article:

"Soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters on Tuesday, 'Our goal is to fund the government.' A reporter asked McConnell if he would like to see a short-term spending bill pass, giving Republicans time to work on individual appropriations bills in the next Congress.
'Yeah, we expect the House to go first,' McConnell said. 'And I anticipate supporting whatever the House sends over. And so, I think we're going to wait and see how the House handles this...But our goal is to fund the government."

Debbie Schlussel was right when she wrote:

"If You Think A GOP Senate Will Change Anything, You're On Crack ... & Here's Why

And Rush Limbaugh was right when he said:

The Mandate: "Republicans were Elected to Stop Barack Obama, Not To Work With Him"

"From 1776 to 2000, the first 224 years of U. S. History, forty-two U.S. presidents borrowed a combined $1.01 trillion from foreign governments and financial institutions.  But in the past 4 years alone the Bush administration borrowed $1.05 trillion." (written in 2007, Source)

When George W. Bush became president in 2000, our national debt was $5.67 trillion. When Barack Obama became president in 2008, our national debt was $10 trillion. When Barack Obama was reelected for a second term the national debt was $16 trillion. (Source)

Someone once said:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."
